30 Minute Treadmill Blast
Shortly after my alarm went off at 5:45 this morning, I headed down to the hotel gym to tackle a workout before going into work. I hopped on the treadmill and completed the following intervals.
I really enjoyed these intervals because they forced me to run at faster speeds (8.0) and gradually bring my heart rate down by running at slower speeds (6.0), rather than just simply walking when I felt fatigued. I had to concentrate on my breathing & I thoroughly enjoyed the challenge. I was done with the treadmill in 30 minutes and I logged almost 3 miles while completing these intervals.
After some quality time with the treadmill, I completed a slightly modified version of this circuit workout. I feel like I need to spend about 2 hours in the gym while I’m traveling for work because I don’t have access to a kitchen and my meals aren’t nearly as healthy as they usually are when I’m at home.
After work, Janny & I changed into some ‘play clothes’ and went for a nice hour long walk on the beach. Apparently, I walk insanely fast according to Janny, so I’m not sure how relaxed she was, but I found the walk to be a great stress reliever at the end of our crazy work day. We talked about how different people find relaxation in various ways. I love decompressing after a long day with a scenic walk.
