I’m Grateful For You + A Giveaway

With Thanksgiving just over a week away (seriously – how did that happen? Wasn’t it just July 2 minutes ago?), I think it’s safe to say the holiday season is officially here.

Before the holiday rush carries us all away, I’m pausing to dwell on all God has blessed me with. When I think of all the many people and things I have to be grateful for, I hope you know that I think of you – those of you who take time each week to pop into Cupcakes n Crunches and read what I write. I can’t even begin to convey what it means to me to know that you not only read what I share with you, but you also share parts of your life and story with me, whether it be through comments or e-mails.

Blogging is such an interesting thing because when I hit publish on a post, I never know whose eyes will land on the words that often come from a very personal part of my heart and sometimes that scares me. However, the little community that seems to surround Cupcakes n Crunches never ceases to amaze me. The kindness and love that so many of you pour back into me after I pour my heart out in a blog post touches me more than you know.

When I hear that you use your baby’s nap time to read my blog or that my blog is one of the first things you read in the morning, I just light up on the inside. I love sharing so many parts of my life with you – whether it be my workouts, my favorite beauty product, the shoes I’m dying over or my most recent meltdown in motherhood – and I appreciate the safe space we’ve all cultivated here. You guys mean so much to me and when I count my blessings, I count you and the {virtual} friendship we share.

So, today is about YOU! Since you guys are the best, I want to do a giveawayΒ to show you just how much I love you! πŸ™‚

I have picked out some fabulous and festive goodies (most ofΒ which I also own myself so you know I’m a fan of them) for 1 lucky reader!

Whether you are a dear friend who reads this blog, an old friend who peruses this space from time to time or a virtual friend that I’ve yet to have the pleasure of meeting, I hope you’ll enter in the giveaway and I pray that you all know how much you mean to me!Β β™₯

Here’s what the winner isΒ getting…

  • Plaid scarf (SO gorgeous for the holiday season – it’s a favorite of mine)
  • Nail Polish
  • Candle (smells just like Christmas)
  • Holiday mug
  • Christmas Ornament

(All goodies are pictured in the photos above)

So who’s ready to win? *praise hands emoji*

  1. I am most looking forward to watching my daughter(2.5) experience all the holiday events and extra time with her family. Thanks for doing the giveaway. I love your blog πŸ™‚

  2. I am most excited about Christmas this year with my son who is almost 2 1/2. He is already loving the Christmas trees we see when we are out and constantly asks to go to the Christmas store (Hobby Lobby) to look at all of the Christmas decorations. We put up our basement Christmas tree with him this weekend and I can’t wait to put up the rest of the decorations and our big tree upstairs. It’s true what they say, the holidays are SO much more fun with little ones.

    • Oh my goodness – I’m totally taking my kids to Hobby Lobby and telling them that it is the Christmas Store! That’s such a great idea! LOL It is like tricking them into shopping with me.

Holidays with kids are just so much more fun! πŸ™‚

    • Annabelle is at SUCH a fun age! You guys are going to have the BEST Christmas with her! πŸ™‚

  3. I’m most excited to spend time with family, I love the extra time my 1 year old son gets with my parents and I love the help I get from them:)

    • Oh my gosh – help from parents = the best Christmas present EVER!

  4. I love your rain boots! I am most excited to explore the new things going on in the new city I’m living in. And I can’t wait for a tree lighting!

    • Thanks, Hilary! πŸ™‚ And I love a tree lighting – we always wanted to see the tree lighting at Rockefeller when we lived in NYC but that place was a ZOO on that night!

  5. So many things I am looking forward to this holiday season! Spending time with friends and family, seeing my daughter visit with santa and open presents since she’s starting to understand things more, decorating our new home for the holidays (the mantle is calling my name!), and the arrival of my baby boy due right Christmas time! We are hoping for an early Christmas present : )

    • Thank you for such an awesome giveaway, by the way! Super thoughtful of you and a great way to get into the holiday spirit!

    • Oh my goodness! A Christmas baby! How exciting!

And I’m excited to take my kids to see Santa too. I’m hoping for at least 1 child to sit on his lap with no tears. LOL

  6. This is an awesome giveaway! I am a holiday nut over here but my husband’s family never really did anything for Christmas:( I am most looking forward to having our schedules filled with Christmasy activities and teaching him just how great this time of year is! It is our last Christmas just the two of us before our little princess joins us in March!

    • Oh, how exciting! I hope you 2 enjoy this Christmas and I know next Christmas will be a whole different kind of special for your family!

  7. Such an awesome giveaway! My favorite thing about the holidays is the time I get to spend with family!! However, I also love a good night curled up in front of the fire, watching my favorite Christmas movie (National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation!) and a warm cup of cocoa.

    • We lit our fireplace for the first time this weekend and it seriously gave me all the warm, cozy, Christmas feels! πŸ™‚

  8. Long time reader, first time commenter! πŸ™‚ I’m most excited to spend the holidays this year being present–every year, I feel as though the holidays are over just as quickly as they begin! This year, I’m going to work extra hard to enjoy the special moments with friends and family and to make sure I’m present for all of it xox

    • I love you, Megan and I love this comment – Being present is SO hard for me, but I’m going to strive to soak up all the holiday glory this year too!

  9. I am most looking forward to that week+ off with my family. I appreciate that time more and more as the first child has moved to her own place now. Thanks for sharing with us!!

    • Family time is definitely the best part of the holidays for me too! πŸ™‚

  10. I am most thankful for giving my daughter a sibling. Something I prayed hard about and was so scared to take the leap. In February we will be a family of four. We’re enjoying our last Christmas as a family of three which is all we have known for the last five christmases. I’m terrified, excited, more terrified and thankful.

    • I’m so excited for you, Lauren! Having 2 kids is hard, but it is FUN! You won’t know how you survived without baby #2. πŸ˜‰ You’ve got this!

  11. This year, I am just looking forward to a few days off with my family. My job has sucked the life out of my this last year and I just want a break to eat lots of food, watch Gilmore Girls and of course holiday movies.

    • Oh, I’ve been there, Stephanie! I hope you get a good break to rest and get ready for the New Year, which will hopefully be less demanding! πŸ™‚

  12. I am most looking forward to relaxing with family and celebrating all of the blessings God has given us this year. Also pretty pumped about some sweet potato casserole…

    • Gah! Sweet potato casserole! I swear it is one of my love languages! LOVE it!

  13. This is so sweet, Ashley! It’s hard to pick one thing that I’m most looking forward to because I love, love, love the holidays. That being said, I’m going to go with all our holiday traditions: Tacos and margaritas on Christmas Eve and Caramel Rolls on Christmas morning (I swear they aren’t all food related), watching It’s a Wonderful Life, putting up the tree the day after Thanksgiving (if I can wait that long). Just typing it all out makes me excited πŸ™‚

    • I want to spend Christmas Eve with you!! Tacos and margaritas? That is a tradition I can get behind. #yesplease

  14. I follow you on Instagram!

I am most excited for spending time with family since I live across the country…oh, and snow! πŸ™‚

    • Family time is the best – especially when you live far away and you don’t get to enjoy it on the regular!

  15. You have the biggest heart!!! ❀️ I’m most looking forward with the precious time with loved ones! Time is treasured, we never know when it will be up. Thankful for you and your servant heart that keeps me in check and encouraged!

    • You’re one of my very favorites, Trishia! I’m so glad Dave brought us together! πŸ˜‰ xoxo

And you’re so right – Time is such a gift! I know you’re going to love this holiday with that sweet nephew of yours!

  16. I am most looking forward to having the extra time off to spend with my family. I love all the festive decorations, Christmas songs, and watching my daughter’s excitement on Christmas morning! What a fun giveaway to start off the holiday season! I really enjoyed reading your blog each week!

    • Thank you so much, Christine! Christmas morning is so much more fun in our house now that we have kids, so I totally agree with you!

  17. Most looking forward to seeing Christmas through addisyns eyes! I think this year she will be excited for all of the fun events!

    • Oh my goodness – she is at such a fun age! You’re going to love it! πŸ™‚

  18. I’m most excited for that first snow! (But then I want t to melt and be warm again!) oh and Christmas Eve service.

    • I’m hoping we get snow in ATL!

  19. Follow you on insta! @kelincoln

I’m most looking forward to slowing down and taking some time off from work. I have a 2 1/2 year old boy who is crazy for Christmas and I love getting to experience the holiday through his eyes! He’s always so excited for everything.

    • I love the holidays so much more now that we have kids. πŸ™‚ Atlas is at such a fun age this year, so I feel the same – I love the magic that seems to surround kids at Christmas.

  20. This is so cute! I started following you through Dave. We went to school together! I am looking forward to the extra time with family! With 4 kids, working full time, coaching and all the other mom/wife duties I kind of just want to sit and watch Christmas movies and play board games and spend time with the ones I love so very much! I love EVERYTHING about the holiday season SO much!

    • Oh my goodness – just reading about all you have on your plate makes me tired! You sound like SuperMom! I hope your holiday season is filled with lots of down time at home with your family! I bet with 4 kids, your house is a BLAST at Christmas time! πŸ™‚

  21. I am decorated for Christmas and look forward to the break from school and my sweet kids there to spend time with the kids who truly have my heart called my grands! Thank you for the blessing of your blog! Look forward to spending time together! πŸŽ„πŸŽβ€οΈ

    • We can’t wait to see you! It will be a highlight of our holiday! πŸ™‚

  22. I can’t wait to just enjoy much needed family time! The year is always filled with SO much to do and I am so looking forward to being able to stop, truly slow down and just BE with my favorite people! Besides that, Christmas is just my absolute favorite ever πŸ™‚

    • It is my absolute favorite too! πŸ™‚ And I couldn’t agree more – just slowing down and BEING with everyone sounds so lovely!

  23. Following on Instagram! @angiejerde13

I am looking forward to EVERYTHING about Christmas! It’s my absolute favorite holiday. I am excited to decorate, sip hot cocao, listen to the music, spend special time with family and most of all GIVE to others : )

    • Yesss! I’m pretty sure giving gifts is like my number 1 love language! I get so excited to shop for my family and friends!

  24. I am most looking forward to family fun and celebrating the birth of Jesus! It’s such a fun time to see others eyes twinkle!

    • Um, I’m most looking forward to riding the Polar Express with you! πŸ˜‰ Seriously – I cannot wait for THAT!

  25. What a fun and festive collection of holiday goodies!!! So kind and generous of you to surprise a lucky reader!!

I’m looking forward to spending our first Christmas in our new house and starting new holiday traditions here!! It will be extra special since it’s Shep’s first Christmas! I can’t wait to celebrate the birth of Jesus with the kiddos too! Stella’s birthday is right before Christmas and Shep’s is the first week
of January so it will be a time full of celebrations! Can’t forget ABC Family and Hallmark movies and I love getting the mail every day with Christmas cards too!! Driving around to look at lights in PJs while jamming to Christmas music and sipping hot cocoa!! Thanks for getting me even more excited and in the spirit!!

    • Oh my goodness! I’m SO excited to drive around and look at Christmas lights in Christmas pajamas! We haven’t got to do that with our kids because that wasn’t a ‘thing’ in NYC! Your comment just made me practically giddy!

And the Christmas card thing – we are still on the fence about doing one this year, but I LOVE receiving them, so I feel like I should do my part and send one out…but it’s hard to find time to fit it all in! Most likely, I’ll send one out and pray it arrives to our friends before the New Year. LOL

  26. I follow you with 2 different accounts on Insta–so does that mean I get an extra entry? Haha!

I am so excited about the holidays because I love seeing the magic through my kids’ eyes. And with L being a year older this year, I suspect it’s gonna be pretty incredible. I’m also excited to do more service/sharing/kindness for others!

    • You are the best, Annette! You inspire me – both with fitness and with your faith! πŸ™‚ xoxo

  27. I’m looking forward to the holidays because it’s the first year my daughter will start to “get it.” Not necessarily the presents, but the idea of family all being together.

    • Yes – I remember last year’s Christmas being SO much more fun with Atlas because he understood that something special was going on. πŸ™‚

  28. Hey Ashley! This was a very sweet posting! Are you hosting family for thanksgiving? Or are you guys traveling? We will be in Tallahassee for the big game against UF!

    • Thanks, Jessica! We are actually staying home for Thanksgiving. It was a tough decision because I so badly wanted to be with my family in Florida, but ultimately we decided it was just going to be A LOT of work to drive down there with both our kids (and both our dogs). We weren’t feeling up to fighting that holiday traffic. But I’ve got our Thanksgiving day menu all planned out and although I’ll miss my mama’s cooking, I’m excited to try and tackle it myself and start some new traditions this year.

And Dave would be SUPER jealous if he read your comment – he would LOVE to go to that game! I hope you guys have a great time and a very Happy Thanksgiving! πŸ™‚

  29. I am looking forward to spending some much needed time with my family and cooking with my nana. I realize that I won’t be able to cook with her or spend much time with her for much longer, so I am definitely going to take advantage of our time and cherish our memories we make together, both new and old!!

P.s I follow you on ig. My user is @lyssabooty

  30. I am most looking forward to spending time with family. We also do a downtown shopping and dinner which is so much fun!
