  1. Oh Ashley, how I do enjoy your blogs. They are the first email I open when I see it here. My, you stay up late to write them, you are so dedicated. I love seeing pictures of you, Dave , and those adorable little ones. I love seeing your beautiful clothes and how you describe everything. Of course, with the age difference here, I certainly couldn’t wear what you do. 😭. As for make-up, I use MAC concealer and foundation. I order it online being as living in the sticks has so many disadvantages. You will chuckle when I tell you why I wear MAC. When in Florida, my sister took me to their store and I told them I have a blood disorder with red things all over my face similar to pimples. She said she had the ideal thing for it. Why?? It’s made to cover tattoos. LOL. It works like a charm, and those things can’t even be seen. The concealer and foundation sta on all day. What a great product. As for lipstick, I use Sephora and love it being as I get the one that stays on all day also. I wear blue glasses thus I don’t need to wear eye make-up, though I used to, but once I hit 75, blah.

I have been at my daughter’s several days helping her caregiver move into a bigger home so LuAnne can get around in her wheelchair. Her son, my dear grandson, is coming home today after an absence of two years. He’s n the Army, and is also bringing his new bride to meet us. I’m so excited. I kind of raised him like Pat did your sweetie, only for different reasons. There were so many things she couldn’t do. I taught him to drive, took him to take his test, brought him to my place in the woods to go deer hunting, where he got his first deer, helped him get it to the house, etc. etc. Things like that. Took him car shopping….WOW. Our tastes in cars are so different, Oh, his dad was out of the picture for many selfish reasons. Steve hasn’t seen him for years and that broke my heart.

Anyway, this Thanksgiving is going to be awesome. We will be having an old fashioned Thanksgiving at my daughters with her new daughter-in-law, her oldest son, Joe, me, etc. we are so excited. Her house will once again have the awesome aroma of turkey, stuffing, etc, etc, and so much love and warmth with many Blessings. And after Thanksgiving he and his wife will come back to the Forest for his other love in life…….DEER HUNTING.

I think this is way too long.HAPPY THANKSGIVING to all of you. I love you all so much. and like I think I said before, when I look at your pictures, I am looking thru Pats’ eyes. That’s how special you all are to me. Thank you for sharing your lives with us here.

    My love
    Mary Ann

    • Mary Ann, your comments always make my day! They bring a smile to my face. Thank you for sharing that with me and I hope you have the happiest Thanksgiving. It sounds like it is going to be a really terrific holiday for you. 🙂 You deserve it!

And P.S. I want to try Mac’s Concealer now! You are the most ‘with-it’ grandma I know! I hope I’m just like you when I’m your age! xoxo
