Juice Plus+

Hey friends!

Sorry for the 2 day blogging hiatus. Here’s a brief recap of the last 48 hours…

On Sunday afternoon I began feeling pretty crummy and by Sunday evening I was in some serious pain. I ended up spending most of Sunday night on the bathroom floor getting sick and I wound up in the ER on Monday. I couldn’t even hold water down, so I needed to be pumped full of liquids. Long story short, I’m a-okay. I just had a really nasty stomach virus, which I got from some of my co-workers. True Story: Last week, I heard 3 people in my office discussing how their spouse and/or kids had the stomach virus and I said to one of my coworkers, “I hate when people come to work knowing they are carrying a virus. It is inconsiderate. Of course, I will get that stomach bug. I may as well go ahead and thank them now for the weight I’m going to lose.”  I spoke the truth. I’m very prophetic like that. Luckily,  I’m home today and on the mend, but I’ll probably be sticking to the BRAT (Bananas + Rice + Apple Sauce + Toast) diet for the rest of the week just to be safe.

Since the only thing I’ve eaten is toast and the only sweat I’ve broken is from a fever, I thought I would take today to share some information with you about one of my new favorite health products: Juice Plus+.

Juice Plus

I mentioned Juice Plus+ when I told you guys about some of my food obsessions and I had a few people e-mail me with some questions about the product.

My sister has been taking Juice Plus for several years and last month she encouraged me to try it too. Her entire family takes it and I can attest that they rarely get sick. I should also note that she has 4 kids, so I find it incredible that her house stays as healthy as it does. I mean, lez be honest…kids sort of breed germs. I figured since the product seems to have worked so well for Tammy and her family throughout the years, I would give it a try.

I’ve been on the vitamins for about 3 weeks and so far I really love them. I take the chewable pills because I can’t swallow capsules very well and I think they taste great and  they have a good texture.

Juice Plus GummiesThe biggest change I’ve noticed since I started Juice Plus+ is with my digestive system, which I assume is from the fiber in the pills.

Juice Plus+ is not a supplement. In fact, they pride themselves on being a whole food product packed with the nutrients from 17 different fruits, veggies and grains.  This was a huge selling point for me. However, these pills are not a substitute for eating fruits and vegetables. I don’t believe there is a substitute for healthy eating, which is why I strive to eat several servings of fruits and vegetables each day. But the reality is there are days when I fall short of my vegetable goal (hello Saturday and Sunday). There are also fruits and veggies that I just don’t like (I’m looking at you, carrots). These pills are supposed to help bridge that gap and provide you with the nutrients you may be missing in your diet.

If you’re interested in trying Juice Plus+ you can click here to learn more about the brand and products available and order some for yourself.

**I did not receive any monetary compensation for this post. These opinions are my own. I am not a distributor for Juice Plus+, so I will not make money if you buy this product. I have simply enjoyed taking the pills and I believe they could benefit you if you’re looking to enhance your diet. I’m just passing on the love ♥**

What vitamins or supplements do you take?

  1. Oh no! I am glad you are starting to feel better now. Take it easy. We had a bad stomach flu in our house over Christmas and I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy. Goog thoughts to you! Good reason to get snuggles in with Ob!

    • I said the same thing, Katie – I wouldn’t wish that stomach bug on anybody!

  2. Yikes!! Glad you are feeling better. I SOOOO agree on the whole coming to work sick thing! I know I am exposed to a lot of germs from my kids (they are at the point where they don’t get sick, but they still bring the germs to us!), and I can’t stay home all the time – but I do try to watch my exposure to others when I know something is going around. It’s just RUDE not to do so!

    That’s the pits.
Hope you are good as new so soon!
(You’ve gots to be able to enjoy V-day. wink wink, nudge nudge.)
Ok, I’m ending on that today.
    You’re welcome, Dave.

    • haha, Dave will appreciate this comment.

  5. Omgz! So glad you are ok- that sounds scary.

I take a complete vitamin for women (it’s the One A Day active kind), as well as calcium supplements, and probiotics. I was actually in the vitamin aisle of the pharmacy yesterday evening, contemplating gummy vitamins because I have a hard time swallowing the really big capsules. Those Juice Plus+ products look great!

  6. I’ll try just about any product that people claim helps to regulate them! My body is so goofy and if it is spot on for a week I get all excited then it shuts down on me for a few days. LAME. I am glad you are feeling better! Stomach bugs are the absolute worst!

  7. I’m glad your on the mend too! As you know I’m a teacher and around sick kids all the time. The upside to that is my immune system is tougher now than when I started. And also using juice plus helps too.
