Mama’s 15 Minute Arm Workout
I’m learning that if you want to accomplish anything as a mom, you have to act fast.
When If the baby goes down for a nap, You can’t hesitate. You hesitate, you die. Okay, so you probably won’t die…but if you hesitate, you won’t shower. You won’t eat. You won’t get your workout in. See…there are things so much worse than death.
When the baby goes down for a nap, there is no time to sit around deciding what you want to accomplish. This must be predetermined because your baby (or at least my baby) may nap for 2 hours…or he may only nap for 5 minutes. Time is of the essence.
So today, when I put Atlas down for a nap I immediately threw on some workout clothes, grabbed my yoga mat and some 8 pound weights and got to work on my arms.
I wanted to avoid doing anything that involved my legs because my quads are still on fire from my workout Monday. Monday’s leg workout basically consisted of doing 5 million lunges and then strapping Atlas in the Baby Bjorn and walking the stairs in our apartment building until my legs felt like they were going to fall off.
Today’s workout was quick, but it did the trick! My arms were feeling the burn by the end.
Below are some links to a few of the exercises if you’re unfamiliar with them.
I rounded out this workout with 10 minutes of ab exercises before Atlas woke up from his nap. I told you – you have to act fast.
Later in the day, I enjoyed several crackers covered in this…
Have any of you tried this cookie and cocoa butter spread from TJs? Unreal.
I ate this while bouncing Atlas around in the Baby Bjorn, which I’m thinking has to negate the calories I consumed.
