Quick & ‘Easy’ Ab & Arm Workout

This morning when my alarm went off, I was not feeling a workout. I was extra comfortable, my pillow was extra cool & my hotel bed was feeling extra soft. Those are all great reasons to skip your morning workout, in case you were wondering. BUT, I knew Janny would be waiting for me in the hotel gym so I got my groggy butt out of bed and into gym clothes. As I was getting dressed, I was hoping my phone would vibrate with a text from her stating that she was going to opt out of our morning workout in lieu of extra sleep. However, my phone never vibrated so I made my way downstairs and we hopped on 2 side-by-side treadmills to get in 30 minutes of cardio. After 10 minutes on the treadmill, I began to wake up and by the time our cardio was done I was SO incredibly thankful that I got my lazy butt out of bed to release some endorphins. Endorphins make me happy (← Elle Woods quote)! Once our cardio was finished, I was feeling super energized and we completed this quick arm and ab circuit.

Sometimes, the best motivation you can have in the mornings is knowing that someone is counting on you to wake up. Janny – Thanks for helping me get up and burn some calories today! Couldn’t & wouldn’t have done it without you!

After work, Janny & I headed back to the Chart House. I had the most divine lobster bisque in the cutest caldron I’ve ever seen…


Wouldn’t that little dish be perfect for serving up dip at a Halloween party? That’s why I licked my bowl clean & stuck it in my purse. Kidding.

I also ate a salad (←read: I ate croutons and cheese bathed in ranch dressing on a tiny bed of greens) and of course, we devoured another slice of key lime pie.

Tonight is my last night in Melbourne and that is a-okay with me because I’m ready to be home in my own bed and cook in my own kitchen. I hear temperatures have dropped in Jax and it is a wee bit chilly so I’m anxious to get back and bust out my boots and sweaters.

It probably goes without saying at this point, but I’m also counting down the hours until I’m reunited with this little ham…
